Finding the right nursery was a nightmare. So we built a better way.

We’re Gareth and Bryony — parents to two young kids, based in Cardiff.

When our eldest was little, we went through the whole nursery search thing and honestly? It was a nightmare. We spent months trying to figure out what was even out there. Every nursery had different information in different places, nobody seemed to list their fees, and we couldn’t get a clear picture of what was actually available near us.

We ended up joining local Facebook groups — waiting to get approved just so we could ask other parents where they’d recommend. We rang nursery after nursery, only to be told they were full. It was stressful, time-consuming, and felt way harder than it should be.

So we built the thing we wished had existed. ChildcareHub lists every Ofsted and CIW-registered nursery across England and Wales — over 29,000 of them — with real inspection data, in one place. No more piecing it together from five different websites.

We’re building this from our kitchen table alongside our day jobs and two small humans who’d quite like our attention. It’s a work in progress, but we’re genuinely committed to making nursery search less rubbish for everyone.
