Dinotots Cramlington was inspected by Ofsted on 23 September 2025 and received an overall rating of Good. In their report, inspectors noted: "Children receive a warm welcome on arrival at the nursery. They are eager to go off with staff to explore the interesting activities set out in the different rooms, and outdoors. For example, babies develop problem solving skills as they try to post objects through holes in a cardboard box."
Key strengths
- Managers have a very clear understanding of the early years curriculum, and of child development.
- Staff know the children in their care very well.
- There is a strong focus on promoting children's communication and language skills.
- Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is a strength of the nursery.
- All staff have attended training about behaviour management.
Areas for improvement
- embed the new curriculum and support staff to develop their confidence even more in targeting their planning on individual children's learning needs
- review and develop mealtime arrangements to provide children with more opportunities for purposeful learning.
